Second Placer Pinoy

Gwendolyn Ruais
Jessica Sanchez
Manny Pacquiao
and many more Filipino athletes and Filipino individuals out there competed and got the second place...

Filipinos can't really get over being the second placer.

I've witnessed how these three stars walked their way to stardom. Papers, television and the internet were updated with their lives, constant practices, speeches and even their diet. Not only them, there are several competitors who waved the Philippine Flag but were not widely recognized as these three.

As we await for the decision of each competition, we "with all prejudice" would bet for our co-Filipino. We tend to preconceive a notion that a Filipino should get the crown, the belt and the title.

Lets always remember though that there are judges and there are also numbers considered in reflecting their decision. I constantly pray every time that these events happen that Pinoy's "sour-graping" and "bitterness" will turn into positive outlook similar on how they turn liability into assets.

Come 'on guys. At the end of the day, its still Manny Pacquiao, Jessica Sanchez, Gwendolyn Ruais, Anne Curtis-Smith, Lea Salonga, Lisa Macuja and there are many more are still Pinoy pride at its finest...
